Sources of TB Exposure at UNM 2004-5:

  • Delay in transfer to negative airflow room for three patients: Approx 174 employees exposed, all three patients smear-negative, culture-positive
  • Patient transferred from another facility, unrecognized abdominal TB taken to operating room: 86 exposed
