- Although TB cases are decreasing overall in New Mexico,
UNM still sees 15-20% of the total cases (8 cases in year 2004)
- Many cases seen at UNM are
- Patients referred for chronic symptoms due to unusual
manifestations of TB and the diagnosis has not been considered:
- Laryngeal TB, pelvic TB, abdominal TB, Potts
disease
- Patients admitted for trauma with concurrent TB
