vaccines
- In adults > age 65, 64% received influenza vaccination
and 50% received pneumococcal vaccination
- Both influenza and pneumococcal immunization rates
are significantly lower for African American and Hispanic adults than
for White adults
- Barriers include lack of and misinformation and lack
of recommendations from health care providers
