Alcohol Hand Disinfection: Fast and Effective

  • Excellent bactericidal activity
  • Virucidal
  • Less drying than conventional hand wash
  • Emollients added to alcohol formula
  • Perform a soap and water wash
    • Every 5-6 alcohol uses to reduce residue
    • If hands are visibly soiled
    • After contact with a patient with diarrhea caused by Clostridium difficile or their environment (alcohol does not kill spores)
