Bioterrorism Preparedness

  • Be aware of the clinical syndromes caused by Class A agents of bioterrorism:
    • Anthrax, plague, smallpox, botulinum toxin, tularemia, viral hemorrhagic fevers
  • Report unusual presentations or numbers of infectious syndromes
  • Apply appropriate syndromic isolation precautions for all patients
