Common Causes of Impairment

  • Exhaustion
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Drugs including alcohol
  • Emotional distress from home or job
  • Psychiatric illness (esp. bipolar and depression)
  • Anger
  • Systemic illness (esp. diabetes)
  • Neurologic disease (esp. motor, dementia and degenerative)
