A Non-Medical Example

  • Modern “soaring aircraft” (gliders) (compared to those in use 30 years ago) are sleek and lightweight – designed to be fast, maneuverable, and able to go greater distances – they are not designed to be safe (thus, greater risk of damage to aircraft, injury to pilot if there is an accident).
